New Year, New Goal, New Blog
For the three of you that visit this blog on a regular basis I'd like you to know that I'm making a change. I'm switching my blog to a different site (one that appears to be a little more "photo" friendly.) It looks like I'm going to be more of a photo poster than a story teller! So update the contact list, change your daily blog stalking routine and come find fun pictures and maybe a story or two about Courtney and me at www.cjhawksfamily.wordpress.com.

Angels vs Yankees and the Beach
One of my family's favorite pass-times is baseball! We are huge Yankees fans, and thought we'd catch three games in three days in California. Unfortunately, the Angels swept the Yankees, but we had a blast anyway.

Between games, we got to spend some time at the beach! We had so much fun chasing the waves and playing together.

Black Family Reunion
Our next adventure was a weekend getaway to the Lodge, where we spent some time with my mom's side of the family.

Ring-Around-the-Rosy
We shot handguns with my great Uncle Stan!! (I was a much better shot than Jason :)
Summer 2009
It has been a very busy summer for us, and after almost a year of not blogging, I have decided now is a good time to start!
Our first trip of the summer was our Miller Family Reunion in June. We went to Moab, UT and stayed at the Sorrell River Ranch which was so beautiful! We went four wheeling, hiking and did a little relaxing. It was a wonderful way to start off the summer.

The Summer of 10,000 Miles
So in the very near future I will be handing the reins of this blog over to the much better half of this couple and I know the quality and frequency of these posts will drastically increase! Until then I thought I would recap one of the "busiest" summers the two of us have ever had.
We were lucky enough to travel to NYC for the 4th of July with Courtney's family and then from there we had the opportunity to go to France where we spent time in Paris and Le Mans. We did everything from climb the stairs at the Eifel Tower to watch a sprint finish on the Tour de France to watch vintage car races. It was an incredible trip. A trip where it really is difficult to capture everything we did in words or pictures. But...here's the first slide show (the other pictures are on a different computer and I'll add them later!)
